If you contact us via the form on the website or by email, the data you provide will be processed by us for the purpose of handling your enquiry and in the event of any follow-up questions. This typically involves the following categories of data:
Email address, name, other content of your message
This data is processed within our company for the purpose of handling your enquiry; it is not passed on to third parties, either within or outside the EU.
The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, namely the performance or (potential) initiation of a contractual relationship, as well as Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, namely our legitimate interest in being able to respond efficiently to enquiries addressed to us.
The data is initially retained for the duration of the processing of your enquiry and deleted within 6 months of the last contact following the completion of your enquiry.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. For further information, please also see www.sparxsystems.eu/cookie-policy-eu/
We process cookies either for functional purposes in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, namely on the basis of our legitimate interest in a functional and secure website. Other cookie processing takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. This consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Regarding individual services, we would also like to inform you of the following:
Use of Google Ads
We use the Google Ads service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to display advertisements in Google Search and on external websites. Google processes the data generated in this process on our behalf and is contractually obliged to comply with appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.
Data may be transferred to servers operated by Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
Conversion Tracking
We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the success of our advertising campaigns. When you click on one of our adverts, a cookie is stored on your device as soon as you visit our website.
This cookie enables us to determine whether and to what extent you have performed a specific action after clicking on the advert, such as submitting a form, making contact or making a purchase.
In particular, the following data may be processed:
- pages or URLs visited
- conversion goals achieved (e.g. enquiries, registrations, orders including turnover)
- IP address
- technical information (e.g. browser type, device, screen resolution)
- a pseudonymised user ID
In addition, a so-called click ID (gclid) is set when you click on an advertisement. This, along with the conversion cookie, is stored for a period of up to 90 days.
Remarketing
We use Google Remarketing to display targeted advertising to you on other websites, in Google Search and on YouTube after you have visited our website.
To this end, a cookie is stored that contains information about your interactions with our website, in particular regarding content or products you have viewed. On this basis, interest-based adverts may be displayed to you.
The remarketing cookie is stored for a period of up to 13 months.
You can object to the use of these functions at any time via our cookie settings dialogue. Furthermore, you have the option to disable personalised advertising via Google’s ad settings or to use appropriate browser extensions.
Use of Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, to analyse the use of our website and to optimise our content and marketing activities.
Google processes the collected data on our behalf and is contractually obliged to comply with appropriate security measures.
During your visit, the following data, amongst other things, may be collected and processed:
- Pages visited
- Transactions, including turnover and products purchased
- Defined website goals (e.g. enquiries or newsletter subscriptions)
- Usage behaviour (e.g. time spent on site, clicks, scrolling behaviour)
- Approximate location data (country, city)
- IP address (truncated before storage)
- Technical information (e.g. browser, internet service provider, device, screen resolution)
- Source of the website visit (referrer)
- A pseudonymised user ID
No directly personal data such as name or contact details is transmitted to Google Analytics.
Processing may also take place on servers in the USA, although Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) in this regard as well.
Google Analytics uses cookies with a storage period of up to two years. These contain a randomly generated identifier that enables recognition during subsequent visits.
The stored data is merged with this identifier, enabling the creation of pseudonymous user profiles. Personal data is deleted after 14 months, whilst aggregated data may continue to be stored.
You can prevent data collection by either refusing the storage of cookies via our cookie settings dialogue or by installing a corresponding browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.
Your rights
You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal and objection.
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
