Architecture evangelist, directing, planning and delivering Business & Solution / Application / Data and Technology Architects – to drive benefits in the overall Enterprise Organizational Landscape through innovation and repeatable standards. Highly focused on Business First cost optimisation in defining holistic plans for technology through governance, roadmaps and technical rationalisation; a strong advocate to C-level for driving repeatable processes to strengthen consistent delivery of value-added strategic and operational functions.

Dr. Alexander Balka

Dr. Alexander Balka

switched to IT after studying mathematics and physics. Since then he has been a software developer, architect, business analyst, project manager, CTO and, since 2008, also a trainer for software modelling and an apprentice trainer for computer science. In addition to his training activities, he provides his expertise as an independent IT service provider primarily in the banking, insurance and energy sectors.

draws on extensive practical experience in the use of modelling languages and tools in software development projects as a trainer and consultant through his many years as an independent IT service provider. As a business analyst, requirements engineer, software developer, tester and test automator he got to know and understand the different perspectives, needs and expectations.

Dr. Peter Dolog

Dr. Peter Dolog

joined the SparxSystems team in 2023. Prior to that, he was a full-time faculty member at the Department of Computer Science at Aalborg University in Denmark, where he was engaged in teaching and training activities related not only to modelling, but also to topics such as machine intelligence, machine learning, information retrieval and recommender systems. His research also included model-driven software engineering with a focus on web applications. He has been teaching for over 20 years and now shares his knowledge and experience as a trainer at SparxSystems.

Amar Kahvedzic

Amar Kahvedzic

joined the Lieber.Group team in 2020 as a consultant and professional trainer in the field of business software solutions. He serves clients in the insurance, banking, retail, energy services, and government sectors. He is primarily concerned with enterprise architecture, using modelling languages such as ArchiMate and BPMN (Business Process Model & Notation). In the context of customer support, he is also active in project management.

Philipp Kalenda

Philipp Kalenda

has been involved with software development since 2009 and with Enterprise Architect and model-based development since 2013. He is specialized in the use of UML, SysML and the adaptation, configuration and extension of Enterprise Architect as well as version control with Git or SVN, in combination with EA models. Philipp Kalenda supports companies in the introduction of MBSE, in setting up a corresponding tool chain and trains the use of various tools such as Enterprise Architect, LemonTree, and many more.

Dr. Horst Kargl

Dr. Horst Kargl

has been involved in modelling since 1998. Before joining SparxSystems Central Europe in 2008, he was a research associate at the Vienna University of Technology and conducted research on eLearning, semantic web as well as model-based software development (dissertation). His focus is on software and systems engineering, but also on enterprise and data modelling. He is an expert in the customization and extension capabilities of Enterprise Architect. As a coach and consultant, he is happy to support you in the development and implementation of modelling approaches. Since 2022 he is leading the training department of SparxSystems CE. Together with his team he develops new ways and approaches to help you get started with modelling in an even easier and more sustainable way.

Dipl.-Ing. Franz Müller

Dipl.-Ing. Franz Müller

has been involved in object-oriented programming since 1995. His professional career led him from many years of software development to requirements engineering and software architecture. Object-oriented modelling became an indispensable part of his working method even before his diploma thesis in cooperation with Siemens PSE. At SparxSystems CE, he is active internationally as a trainer and has, for example, held several trainings in India for a renowned consulting and outsourcing company.

Mag.a Evamaria Posch

Mag.a Evamaria Posch

has over 20 years of IT training experience and has held more than 20,000 training hours. With persistent patience and a lot of empathy she awakens the enthusiasm for modelling in her course participants. Self-taught in many areas, she also knows how challenging it can be to constantly learn new things. However, this constant maintenance and expansion of knowledge is indispensable, especially in the fast-paced IT environment. At SparxSystems CE, she is currently focusing on UML and SysML basic trainings.

Robert Sicher

Robert Sicher

is an experienced IT expert with a short degree in data science from the Vienna University of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. His areas of expertise are requirements engineering, UML, SysML and of course their application in the Enterprise Architect tool. He gained extensive experience in building information systems for retailers during his many years of work at Hewlett-Packard. As a senior consultant he works in research projects at Lieber.Group (ECSEL – Electronic Components and Systems for European Leadership; VALU3s), is active as a key account manager and passes on his knowledge as a trainer.
